Eleventh Graduation – Class of 2018


Fourteen young ladies from the Class of 2018 graduated from Sisters Academy of Baltimore on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at a ceremony at the Marikle Chapel on the campus of Notre Dame of Maryland University.

The commencement address was delivered by Ms. Deara Parker, a member of the Class of 2008, the first graduating class. Deara is a graduate of Owings Mills High School and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Bowie State University. She is currently working at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore with her sights set on attending medical school in 2019. Deara Parker began her remarks by offering the class a message that applauded their accomplishments and recognized the bonds they share as Sisters Academy graduates. Her remarks expressed the importance of always being true to believing in one’s self, while encouraging the graduates to pursue their dreams, no matter how big or tall. In her closing words, she also reminded them that as a Sisters Academy graduate, they will always be sisters to one another and to all the other graduates of the school.
